Wonderful location with fabulous views. The quietness, tranquility was just amazing. Perfect for that little weekend get-away and to top it all off, the unbelievably fantastic food and service. I also loved, that one could sit in the foyer in front of the lovely wood fire and have a glass of wine or whiskey, every effort was made to make the stay a memorable one. All in all, a really and truly lovely hotel, set in a wonderful setting..

I knew all staff names after the first night, they were all professional and yet great fun. Patrick and Des are amazing managers. The hotel is old world luxury surrounded by the most beautiful countryside in the world. Food for the soul. There for the Connemarathon, dropped off 20 mins before the race began- where else in the world would that happen!

This is a wonderfully relaxing place to stay, surrounded by rugged Irish countryside and close to rivers, lakes and the sea. The food is excellent and the people are extremely friendly and welcoming. Big log fires, deep armchairs and an old fashioned ambience make you feel very comfortable and cossetted.

Warm and welcoming atmosphere. Rooms tastefully furnished and very comfortable. Spectacular views of the river from the dining room and our bedroom. Relaxing walks in the castle grounds. Food excellent both in the bar and dining room. Courteous, friendly and helpful staff. Would highly recommend the castle as a place to get away from it all. My husband and I had a wonderful break to celebrate our wedding anniversary.
